And just like that, week five is already behind us.
This week, I introduced something new to my workflow: a social media engagement log. I created a spreadsheet to track the accounts I interact with, the comments I leave, and the engagement my comments receive. This tool helps me visualize the relationships I’m building and allows me to share them with the rest of the team.
My landing page wireframes are now complete and undergoing team review. As part of the continued refinement process, I’ve been asked to focus more on the page’s language and start ideating a new tagline for Denovo Fertility. This has been a fun and creative challenge that stretches both my design and writing skills.
Lately, I’ve been considering Denovo Fertility’s lack of presence on Pinterest. Given the platform’s strong overlap with our target audience, I believe Pinterest has real potential for success. Its focus on wellness, lifestyle inspiration, and fertility-related content makes it a natural fit for promoting the company.
When I found out that Jorel McCree, a lead client partner at Pinterest, would be speaking at this week’s “All Hands” meeting, I jumped at the chance to connect. After the meeting, I introduced myself and spoke with him directly about how Denovo Fertility could benefit from utilizing Pinterest. He shared some valuable insights and strategies that I’m excited to bring back to the team.
Next week, I plan to pitch my Pinterest idea during the marketing meeting and explore what it might look like to create a social media strategy for the platform.
Quote of the week:
“To me, culural intelligence means caring enough about the people you are serving that you stop assuming what they need.”
