Week three is already behind us, and time is flying.

This week, I focused heavily on the website redesign for Denovo Fertility. I had several design consulting meetings and received positive feedback from the team on the changes we’ve made so far. It’s rewarding to see my ideas begin to take shape.

Our primary goal has been to finalize drafts of the landing and products pages so we can present them to Melanie during our meeting next Monday. With her input, I’m confident we’ll be ready to launch the full redesigns of both pages soon.

One of the requirements of the Digital Summer Clinic is earning a digital tools certification. I’ve chosen to pursue a certification in Google Analytics. I’ve connected Google Analytics to this blog to monitor its performance and use as a learning tool during the summer.

For my certification, I’m testing out the “fail faster” method: instead of studying first, I’ll attempt the certification exam right away to assess what I don’t know. This approach helps pinpoint my specific knowledge gaps, which will streamline the study process overall. I’m hoping to score at least 50% on the first try, but we’ll see how it goes!

One of the highlights of my week was the Digital Summer Clinic “All Hands” meeting. During the meeting, the interns received valuable career advice from Digital Summer Clinic mentors Nick Woods and Natalie Fang. One of my biggest takeaways came from Nick, who shared that he always starts his day by tackling his hardest task. By getting it out of the way early, he lessens his mental burden and increases productivity. It’s a simple but powerful strategy, and I’m going to incorporate it into my routine.

The biggest challenge I’m facing right now is time. Getting sick has slowed me down more than I expected. No matter how long I work, I still feel behind. Maybe that’s just part of juggling three jobs at once—but I’m determined to reach a place where I feel confident and caught up. I’m pushing myself to find that balance before the end of the internship.

Quote of the week:

“One of the best skills you can learn is being able to sell anything, including yourself.”
